Aside from scientific research, she has published works of photography and short stories to share notes from the field. She completed her PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Michigan (2018) and MPH at Johns Hopkins University (2011), and has worked as a research scientist at the Vaccine Research Center at the NIH, a consultant at the World Bank Group, and as an epidemiologist at the Global Disease Detection Branch at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
